Collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that helps minimize the signs of aging, improve the appearance of acne scars and rejuvenate aging skin.

What is Collagen Induction Therapy?
The process is called Collagen Induction Therapy and is used to improve
• Texture and tone
• Surface scarring
• Fine wrinkles

How does it work?
Collagen Induction Therapy is based on the use of tiny needles to create micro channels (tiny holes) in the skin.  The process stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and in the process produces collagen and elastin.

This repair process begins almost immediately and results in a thicker dermis and softened wrinkles or scars. We use the automated Eclipse MicroPen™ for its predictable performance and safety profile.

There is no tissue destruction with micro needling. The small channels in the epidermis close very quickly and the skin begins a healing response right away. Depending on the depth of the skin defect, you may see only redness or you may experience some pinpoint bleeding which stops almost immediately.

PRP Therapy via MicroNeedling

This therapy is micro-needling and PRP (platelet rich plasma) done consecutively.

The second procedure is called PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). Platelet Rich Plasma is produced from an individual’s own blood. After a blood sample is obtained from a patient, the blood is put into a centrifuge, which is a tool that separates the PRP from the blood. The blood is spun for approximately 15 minutes.

PRP contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and other cytokines that promote the regeneration process of soft tissues. The PRP is applied directly to the channels that were created from the micro-needling to further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of collagen.

An outstanding product absorption booster
These superficial micro-channels also allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Specific treatment products can be selected to achieve accelerated results. We’ll employ various topicals depending upon your needs
• Hyaluronic serums
• Lightening or bleaching serums
• Stem cells to multiply new young cells
• Vitamin C for strengthening and antioxidant boost

What areas can be treated?
Micro needling can safely be used on nearly all parts of the body with the most frequent treatments being on the
      • Face
      • Neck
      • Decollete
      • Arms
Collagen Induction Therapy is safe for ALL skin types. This is a boost for skins that have a tendency to over react to heat based treatments or those with ultra sensitive skins which do not tolerate heat treatments well.

How painful is it?
A topical anesthetic is applied prior to treatment to reduce discomfort. As the MicroPen moves across the treatment area, patients report a feeling similar to a light sandpaper moving across the skin. The speed at which the pen operates combined with the topical anesthetic make for a more comfortable treatment.

When can I expect results?
Following the treatment there will be redness in the treated areas for 24-72 hours similar to a mild sunburn. In the days and weeks following the procedure you can expect a more radiant and vibrant skin tone.

How often can I do it?
Patients often do 3-4 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart for maximum results.
